Zebrafishlab is a joint academic laboratory of the University of Antwerp (Belgium) consisting of members of the Gamete Research Center (department of Veterinary Sciences), the SPHERE research group (department of Biology) and the Applied veterinary morphology research group (department of Veterinary Sciences).
On the one hand, the lab focuses on zebrafish reproduction, the zebrafish embryonic and larval stages, including teratogenic effect assessment and ELS (Early Life Stage) tests. On the other hand we use adult zebrafish to assess the effects of environmental stress applying an integrated systems biology approach.
We are a member of the Enviromics Consortium, which integrates the knowhow of several research groups at the University of Antwerp into one easily accessible service centre that provides scientific advice across the board of environmental research.
